Alternative Worship Service – Sunday, 8:45
Hosted in Founders Hall.
Enter through the 8th Street door. Founders Hall is located on the Second Floor.
This is a different kind of church service connecting our lives to something BIGGER.
There’s something more in life than going through every day as if there is no soul, nothing transcendent. Re-connect with God, to one another, to yourself and to all creation.
I describe the service as a bridge – it seems to help close the gap between our daily walk-(with each person in their own place in the journey)- and Sunday worship. – Gayle Cooper
CONNECT is a contemporary approach to worship focused on connecting everyone in the community to one another with heavy emphasis on worship through music. I think the service strives to provide yet another avenue through which people can receive the Word and connect the Word to how we live our lives in today’s world. – Stephen Falken
Attitude is casual with a comfortable atmosphere, yet connected to a deep history. Message themes offer hope and transformation. Music is presented in a mix of styles designed to touch all hearts. Music Leader Jennifer Wallis puts together an eclectic blend of songs that include Christian music and songs by popular artists such as U2, the Chili Peppers, Bruce Springsteen, Stevie Wonder and Beyonce.
Join the CONNECT Sunday School Class which starts after the CONNECT service (about 10:00am), meeting in the Library on the Second Floor. Discuss the message from the service and connect with others.
